A 10 year old could design the 'Click and Collect' section better than it currently operates. The drive through screen tells you to go and park in a parking bay, however when you do a member of staff tells you not to park there and to wait at the machine. The other week I waited at the drive through machine and it caused a delay of 4 or more cars, which ultimately clogged up the car park, causing multiple cars to beep at me to get out of the way. Therefore, logically it would make sense to follow the drive through instructions and park in a parking bay next to the click and collect point. However, this is not possible as it against the 'rules' - which doesn't make sense! Other corporations, whether in the grocery or fast food industry, manage this system just fine by number plate recognition or allocating designated click and collect bays to drivers whilst they wait 5 to 10 minutes for their order. You would think ASDA value it's customers and make this system more effective. Also, I would go inside and shop however there is never enough people on the tills and therefore it takes too long. The self checkout does not work properly, there is never any bags and there are no staff to come and assist you when the self-checkout machine is down and therefore I had resorted to click and collect, although will not be using it any more.
Not enough people on tills. Prices good. Service not so
I regularly shop at this small store, good stock of good priced food in store, staff found to be very pleasant to deal with, both youngsters, and the older members of staff when dealing with the public.I would have no problem in returning there again and again.
I've been shopping there for ten years and the standards have dropped over time. The shelves on the soft drinks row are flithly and some busted cans or bottles have left molde which hasn't been cleaned up. The last three times I've been to the checkout I've been expected to pack my chicken in meat packs myself while having no help packing anything else by three different members of staff. All the positive energy goes into catching shoplifters they don't care about customer service. They need a overall of new staff and get some of that deadwood out.
A nice Asda but don't believe the hype. It lacks the style of Asda Rochdale, the warmth of Asda Pilsworth and the character of Asda Oldham. I will go again but only if I need to do some shopping.
