Nice place to go for food. Drinks are terribly expensive. Pint of Peroni and gin and tonic over a tenner
Lovely pub with great choice of beers and ales. The food is also very good. I would recommend the steak and ale pie - it was delicious! Get the hand cut chips over the skinny, perfect for dipping in the gravy.
Quite expensive for what it is had a steak sandwich and steak was very chewy.. Lovely staff but was upset to hear that there has been problems since reopening.
Service slow in drinks. Food to a fantastic standard. Staff lovely. Menu caters for all with a good selection. The only complaint with a big booking is there was no round tables. More sociable. Wine not too expensive. When I say that, the usual 3x the supermarket per bottle. It's a drinkers pub and a restaurant. I would definately return for the food. Parking available.
A very nice restaurant serving a good range of mainly British foods such as Black Puddings, Fishcakes, Soup, Prawn Cocktail etc. for starters. Main courses include Steak and Kidney pies and puddings, lamb shank, chicken, fish dishes etc. Jam Roly poly, chocolate cake, ice cream etc. for dessert. Full range of beers, wines, lagers, spirits and soft drinks. Very enjoyable meal in a nice environment. It is a pub as well so you can just drink if you want. There are outside tables which were not being used when we visited as it was winter and wet and cold but would be nice on a summers day.
