This review is of DW as a compamy and not just this specific gym. If you are thinking of signing up with them be warned! They are scammers, they are rude, they have to morals, no customer service to speak off, no ethics and they completely disregard consumer rights. Their contracts are illegal and in breach of consumer rights act. Yet they try to enforce them by harassing people and instructing debt collectors. My review is not the only one to say this, so this is a wide spread practice for them. If you think of signing up with them - don't! You will live to regret it when they won't let you cancel and harras you 3 years down the line. If you already signed up and want to cancel, report them to Citizen Advice Bureu. They will report then to trading standards. The more reports they get, the sooner they will act.
If I could give a zero I bloody would absolute piece of this company, was here for a year with my friend as we had a year contract and we left when it was up because we hated it. The staff didnt make us feel welcomed at all, after we left we were charged 83 bearing in mind we had already quit so we shouldnt have to pay this. DO NOT join this gym.
Brilliant gym, if you're a student it is only 25 per month and it is kept exceptionally clean and has great equipment available especially since it has been refurbished it is stunning!
As a former member of staff and currently a member I can easily say this is the best gym in Bury. All equipment and facilities are well maintained by staff and members are certainly looked after.
Signed up last week. Not long enough to write a review but anyone saying staff are miserable, I don't get that at all!!!! Want to give a special mention to Claire the manager at Bury. She has been brilliant since moment I joined. She took alot of time to show me around the gym on an induction and she has really good knowledge which has helped me ( serious back conditions and recently recovering from a spinal fusion) get back in the gym confident to get myself fit again. I had a PT session with her yesterday and she was absolutely amazing. Can't thank her enough for giving me confidence and positivity. All the other staff I've spoken to have also been really nice, friendly and helpful. Don't understand any of the bad reviews about the actual gym.
