Travelled all the way up from Essex this morning to purchase a car, the special edition Ford Fiesta WHITE which is still on the forecourt now. I was told and assured by 2 different Salesmen, before I left home on what turned out to be a 10 hour journey, that this car was in their words Immaculate, with no marks on it at all, and you wont be disappointed When I got there to inspect the car, the Saleman walked off as he was obviously embarrassed.! The rear drivers side was a different shade to the rest of the vehicle and not only was the respray on the rear a different colour, it also had runs in the paintwork and overspray on the rubber and plastic trim. After 20 minutes, I finally got to speak to the Manager who was sitting in the Office pretending he was unaware he had known the car had been in an accident.My view on this, is, if the paintwork repair, which you can see is this bad, what the hell is the repair work like under the bodywork that you cannot see.! If The 2 Salesmen were honest with me over the phone and had told me that the car has been in an accident and the paintwork and repair was done so poor, I would of saved myself a days holiday, 100 fuel and wear and tear on my own vehicle, along with wasting a whole day travelling to look at a car that is obviously not as advertised. Torrington Motor Company of Bury, you should be ashamed of yourself. I trusted your advert, your Salemen and your claim of being a trusted long time family business. That car was for my daughter, who also took the day off of work. She was obviously very disappointed. I would never recommend anyone to buy a car from your garage, Thank God I spotted the botched up work on the car before handing over my hard earned money.
